My passion for fishing began when my father introduced me to the sport at only 3 years old.  Since as far back as I can remember, I have spent my life learning the tricks and patterns to catching more and bigger fish.  Today, I specialize in fishing for trophy muskies and pike on Lake of the Woods, Ontario, huge lake sturgeon on the Winnipeg River, and powerful channel catfish on the Red River, Manitoba.  There's nothing that gets me excited like big fish, and I hope to share that excitement with you!

I am fortunate to live in an area of Canada where the fishing is as world class as it gets.  Whether you are looking for numbers, size, or both - Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario have what you are looking for.  At any time of the year, there are exceptional fishing opportunities waiting for you! 

Guided catfish trips are offered throughout the season, but sturgeon trips are limited from May until early July.  From late June until freeze-up in November I fish almost exclusively for muskies on Lake of the Woods.

 About Your Guide

I began my guiding career when I was only 16 as a summer job guiding for catfish on the Red River.  As time went on and the obsession grew, I became interested in larger and larger species.  Catfish led me to the giant lake sturgeon, and big pike turned into fishing for the ultimate predator in Canadian waters - the elusive muskie.  Finally, after obtaining a B. Sc. from the University of Manitoba I began guiding full-time.  Now, 9 years after I started, I've been featured in several magazines and newspapers across Canada and the US, aided in filming several TV shows, I'm a frequent seminar speaker, and I've had the opportunity to catch and release some of the largest fish in these waters, including the largest fish ever caught on video in the province of Manitoba.
